Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lumber supporting apparatus for a seat back of an automobile wherein a support is well effective and there exists no feel of ricketiness and left and right rigidities are at the same level.
SOLUTION: Both end parts 13a and 13a of a reverse U-shaped support arm 13 are freely rotatably and movably supported forward and backward by means of set plates 12 and 12 fixed on the central position of the lower part 11a of an upper frame 11 and the lower part of a support plate 17 is freely rotatably and movably supported forward and backward by means of a hooking part 17a hooked at the upper part 13 of this support arm 13 and a lumber motor 19 is supported on a base bracket 18 fixed on the lower part 11a of the frame. In addition, a slide nut 23 being movabvle up and down by an output screw shaft 21 is supported on a bending lower part 25a of a support bracket 25 fixed on the upper part of the support arm 13.
