To provide a machine plate which prevents a deviation in varnishing and which can realize a long life.

Both ends of a machine plate sheet 4, which is manufactured by optical etching, are folded, so that a long plate-like intermediate plate 12 can be held inside it. Long plate-like upper and lower plates 11 and 13 are pressed against the top surface and undersurface of a folded part, and the upper plate 11, the intermediate plate 12 and the lower plate 13 are connected together by a fixing means such as a rivet 15, so as to serve as a part 10 to be locked to a plate cylinder roll 20. Thus, the machine plate, which has a firm structure, can be tightly wound around the plate cylinder roll by strong force and firmly attached thereto.
