Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of preventing an increase in the weight and number of a machining tool mounted to a turret type tool exchanger by providing a lathe tool mounting unit in a spindle head, and preventing reduction in a machining area where a workpiece is machined.SOLUTION: A lathe tool holder mounting unit 16 is attached to a spindle head 2 in an area where no interference is generated when a tool is exchanged between itself and a spindle 7 by a tool exchanger 3. The lathe tool holder mounting unit 16 is attached to the spindle head 2 by fixing means such as a bolt so as not to change the posture and position. The lathe tool holder mounting unit 16 can clamp or unclamp a lathe tool holder 17. A lathe tool for lathe-turning is attached to a tip of the lathe tool holder 17. A workpiece 6 fitted on a rotary table 15 can be lathe-turned by the lathe-turning tool mounted to the tip of the lathe tool holder 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
