Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the machining device by the laser for the decontamination of the internal wall of a hollow body such as a pipe of a steam generator of a nuclear power plant.
CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a laser generation source 18, an optical fiber 21 having an input part which is coupled with the output part of the laser generation source 18, a laser optical amplifier 20 having an input part which is coupled with the output part of the optical fiber 21, and a means 5 which transmits laser light emitted by the amplifier 20 to a machining position through air. Therefore, a laser beam of high output can be transmitted to the machining position which is hardly reached like the internal surface of the pipe, etc.
