Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the durability in a hydrostatic bearing by decreasing a degree of wear due to existence of abrasive grains and acute edge parts being left behind in this hydrostatic bearing.

CONSTITUTION: A hydrostatic groove 2 is formed on a bearing surface 1 of a hydrostatic bearing and then barreling is applied as its finishing work, and thereby all acute edge parts in this groove 2 are removed. In addition, all remaining abrasive grains on the bearing surface are made so as to be eliminated.
