To provide an elevator device that allows a control panel to be removed from the car even when it is used by an unspecified number of people, for example.SOLUTION: An elevator device is equipped with a car 1, a control panel 13, a detection unit 21, and an operation control unit 23. The control panel 13 is detachable from the car 1. The operation control unit 23 controls the car 1 in a first mode if the detection unit 21 does not detect that the control panel 13 has been removed from the car 1.
