Abstract:

To provide magnetic abrasive grain for performing more precise surface polishing, and a magnetic polishing method using the magnetic abrasive grain.

Magnetic grain manufactured by a gas atomization method is made the magnetic abrasive grain for magnetic polishing. Since the magnetic abrasive grain is manufactured by the gas atomization method, the composition of material powder prepared when manufacturing is adjusted, and optional heat treatment is applied after manufacture to form the abrasive grain with a desired setting phase and setting deposit very easily. Since the magnetic abrasive grain has optional magnetic characteristics and hardness by adjusting the components, it can be used as magnetic abrasive grain for magnetic polishing with excellent polishing ability and precision polishing ability.
