Title:
MAGNETIC FIELD COMPENSATING COIL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3518552
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a magnetic field generated by a compensating coil from giving influences on demagnetizing actions and, at the same time, the accumulation of electrostatic charges in the compensating coil.
CONSTITUTION: The winding of a magnetic field compensating coil 50 is arranged so as to surround the neck of an image receiving tube at a right angle from the Z-axis which is perpendicular to a display screen. A demagnetizing coil is arranged on the envelope of the image receiving tube and removes magnetism from the metallic part of the envelope. In order to demagnetize more completely, the electric current supplied to the coil 50 is interrupted by means of a switch SW1 during demagnetization. In order to prevent the accumulation of charges in the coil 50, in addition, one terminal of the coil 50 is connected to a ground terminal 3 through a resistor R5.
