Title:
MAGNETIC HEAD FIXING MECHANISM OF MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2729123
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease the external force generated in a data zone in the case of use of a magnet in the magnetic head fixing mechanism of a magnetic disk device.
CONSTITUTION: This magnetic disk device basically has the magnet 5 and a magnetic material 6 and has chamfered parts 9, 10 on at least one of the proximate flanks of the magnet 5 and the magnetic material 6. The magnet 5 may be on the stationary part side or moving part side and the magnetic material 6 to be attracted to the magnet 5 may be other magnet as well. As a result, the distance between the magnet 5 and the magnetic material 6 is increased by the effect of the chamfered parts 9, 10 and the external force is decreased at the time of non-fixing. The influence of the chamfered parts 9, 10 on the distance between the magnet 5 and the magnetic material 6 is lessened and therefore, the sufficient fixing power is generated at the time of fixing.
