Title:
MAGNETIC HEAD SUSPENSION AND MAGNETIC DISC APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2888214
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve external impact resistance acceleration of a magnetic disc apparatus by forming a magnetic head suspension mainly formed of graphite carbon having the density of the set value or less.
SOLUTION: A head slider 1 is mounted to one end of head suspension 2 as a supporting member. A magnetic element for conducting recording and reproduction of data through an electromagnetic conversion is provided at the surface of the head slider 1 opposing to a magnetic disc. The head suspension 2 is formed of a constraining section 3 and a beam section 4. The main element of the head suspension 2 is graphite carbon having the density of 3g/cm3 or less. Namely, organic phenol is dehydrated and condensed to form graphite carbon and it is then cut to head suspension 2. Thereby, a load of head can be alleviated without lowering external impact resistance of the magnetic disc apparatus.
