Abstract:
To provide a magnetic memory cell which can be reduced in cell area while keeping sufficient magnetic anisotropy.
The magnetic memory cell 1 has a pin layer 3 in which the orientation of magnetization is fixed, a magnetic recording layer 10 in which the orientation of magnetization is set reversible, and a barrier layer 4 which is sandwiched between the pin layer 3 and the magnetic recording layer 10. The magnetic recording layer 10 has a magnetic material 14 formed on the barrier layer 4, and a cylindrical magnetic material 11 formed on the magnetic material 14 through a non-magnetic material 13. The cylindrical magnetic material 11 has a cylindrical structure which surrounds an axis that extends in a first direction.
