PURPOSE: To shift a reel drive disk in accordance with the cassettes different in size and shape without changing the control of tape tension and other factors, by setting the mobile fulcrum of the reel driving disk, the fixed point of a tension band and the force point of a brake lever at the same center.
CONSTITUTION: A small cassette is attached to an adaptor to be stored into a cassette casing, and a large cassette is stored directly into the cassette casing. In this case, the cassette detecting plates 33a and 33b are moved toward the arrows F and G by the rear edge of the large cassette 5. Then the shift substrates 12a and 12b of the reel drive disk are turned in thedirections opposite to the arrows C and D by the wires 31a and 31b. Thus the reels 6a and 6b hooked to the reel drive disks 9a and 9b respectively. In this case, a pin 24 of a tension lever 18, the force points 51a and 51b are set at the same center as the mobile shafts 28a and 25b of the disks 9a and 9b. Thus no change is virtually caused to the relation between the length of a tension band and other factors.
