Title:
MAGNETIC RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56115278
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic recorder which employs a thermal printing head to form a magnetic latent image on a magnetic medium and which can speedily and readily perform processing.

CONSTITUTION: A desired portion of a magnetic medium 10 consisting of a base layer 101 and a magnetic thin film layer 102 and having a uniform magnetized pattern is locally heated to above the Curie point or compensation temperature in order to form a magnetic latent image on the heated portion. In this case, as a magnetic medium heating means, a thermal printing head 11 is used having a plurality of heating elements 111 first-dimensionally arranged on a supporting base, and each heating element 111 is selectively supplied with a heating current to perform a localized heating. Additionally, a bias magnetic field 12 can be applied.
