Title:
MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM AND SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10320745
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To increase adhesion strength between a binder and a pigment, to suppress dropping of the pigment, to prevent clogging of a magnetic had and to improve the solvent resistance by incorporating a specified crosslinking agent into at least one layer of magnetic recording layers.

This magnetic recording medium has at least one transparent magnetic recording layer on one surface of a supporting body, and at least one magnetic recording layer contains a crosslinking agent expressed by the formula. In the formula, (n) is a positive integer 2 to 35, and especially preferably 3 to 30. The amt. of the crosslinking agent in the magnetic layer is 3 to 95 pts.wt. to the amt. of the binder in the magnetic recording layer. The binder consists of a cellulose ester, especially preferably diacetylcellulose. The binder in the magnetic recording layer preferably has 20000 to 300000 weight average mol.wt. After the magnetic recording layer is formed, the layer is subjected to calendering and preferably heat treated at 20 to 80°C for 0.1 to 400 hours.
