To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and waveform adjusting method by which whether data such as sequence control output data, received NMR signals are correctly output or received is easily determined when imaging is performed and a period of malfunction such as image defect and sequence development period can be shortened.
The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a magnetic field generation unit to give a subject a static magnetic field and a gradient magnetic field, a transmission unit to radiate a high-frequency magnetic field for making atomic nuclei forming living tissue of the subject generate nuclear magnetic resonance, a reception unit to detect nuclear magnetic resonance signals discharged by the nuclear magnetic resonance, a signal processor to perform image reconstruction calculation using the nuclear magnetic resonance signals detected by the reception system, and a controller to control the motion of the whole apparatus. Inside the apparatus, a storage unit to store at least one waveform of a pulse of the gradient magnetic field generated under control of the controller or a pulse of the high-frequency magnetic field, or the nuclear magnetic resonance signal in time series and a display unit to display the waveform in time series are equipped.
