Title:
MAIL RECEIVING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005020108
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a mail receiving system capable of comparatively quickly receiving electronic mail having already arrived in a server side without the need for troubling others in a stage when a mobile phone returns to inside of a service area.

When a mobile phone 107 cannot receive electronic mail transmitted from a mobile exchange station 103 because of being out of range of communication, a mail center 106 stores the unreceived mail. The mobile exchange station 103 transmits a monitor signal to each mobile phone 107 to discriminate whether the mobile phones 107 are in-zone or out-zone. The mail center 106 inquires the mobile exchange station 103 as to whether or not the mobile phone 107 being a destination of the unreceived mail is returned from outside the service area (or power off), and transmits the mail to the mobile phone 107 when the mobile phone 107 is returned. Thus, the mobile phone 107 can receive the unreceived electronic mail without the need for any particular processing when the mobile phone 107 is returned from outside the service area. The system may transmit a mail received by the mail server only to mobile phones in the zone.
