Abstract:
To provide various mannosyl-alditol lipids having different carbohydrate structures, and to provide a method for producing the same.
The mannosyl-alditol lipid is represented by formula (I) (wherein, R1 and R2 are the same or different, and each a 6-20C aliphatic acyl group; R3 and R4 are each hydrogen or an acetyl group; and n is 3 or 4), and is constituted of mannose, a sugar alcohol and a fatty acid, with the proviso that the mannosyl-alditol lipid in which the sugar alcohol is mannitol is excluded.
