Title:
MANUFACTURE OF COMPOSITE BOARD USING ACETYL CELLULOSE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0826810
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a no-asbestos-fiber composite board having the same or a higher level of physical properties than the case where asbestos fiber is used by molding a mixture of a siliceous raw material, a calcareous raw material, an acetyl cellulose having a low acetyl value and water followed by steam aging.

CONSTITUTION: This composite board is obtained by molding a mixture of a siliceous raw material, a calcareous raw material, acety] cellulose acetylated at the level where the obtained acetyl cellulose is essentially insoluble in water followed by steam aging. The acetyl value of the acetyl cellulose is usually about 0.5-8.4. Further, fiber lengths of the acetyl cellulose are usually 0.1-10.0mm.
