PURPOSE: To eliminate the reduction in workability, particularly the reduction in workability in a cast strip end part to be a problem at the time of manufacturing Cr-Ni based stainless steel strip with a continuous casting method synchronously shifting a cast slab and the inner wall face of a mold.
CONSTITUTION: The Cr-Ni based stainless steel is continuously cast to the strip having ≤6mm thickness, and after applying working having ≥5% in the temp. range of 1200-1000°C, this is coiled in the temp. range of 1200-800°C and successively, annealing, pickling and cold-rolling are executed and thereafter, annealing-pickling or bright annealing is executed. The Cr-Ni based stainless steel strip having uniform workability to the longitudinal direction of the strip in high level can be manufactured with a simple process.
