PURPOSE: To manufacture ferritic stainless steel sheet whose surface quality is excellent by executing continuous casting of the stainless steel to thin strip of the specified thickness, and executing the temper rolling of the specified rolling ratio after cold rolling and annealing.
CONSTITUTION: The ferritic stainless steel is continuously cast to a thin strip of 10mm or less in thickness by a continuous caster where the wall surface of the casting mold moves in synchronization with the cast slub. This strip is cold rolled and annealed finally. Then, the temper rolling of the reduction ratio of 1.5-3.0% is executed. The continuous caster such as a twin roll type continuous caster is used, and a Sendzimir mill is used for the cold rolling. This arrangement allows manufacturing of the ferritic stainless steel sheet having especially excellent gloss.
