PURPOSE: To realize a small-sized and lightweight heat exchanger having high performance by laminating heat insulating materials consisting of ceramics, Cu or Al heat transmission fins and insert materials consisting of an Al alloy and heating the same, thereby forming a laminated body.
CONSTITUTION: The heat insulating plates 2 consisting of ZrO2 ceramics having excellent heat resistance and the heat transmission fins 1 which are perforated plates consisting of the Cu or Al alloy having good heat conductivity are alternately laminated and the insert materials consisting of the Al-Si alloy are inserted therebetween. Headers 3a, 3b are provided to the top and bottom of such laminated material and the entire part is heated to a prescribed temp. in a reduced pressure chamber, by which the integrally laminated material is formed. The joining is executed by Al which intrudes into holes. Since the heat insulating characteristic of ZrO2 is thoroughly obtd., the heat exchanger having high heat exchanging performance as well as the small size and light weight is produced.
