Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a propylene copolymer having good properties in powdery form, high rigidity, high impact resistance and excellent applicability while preventing the formation of a solvent-soluble by-product.
CONSTITUTION: A propylene block copolymer is produced in the presence of a catalyst consisting of an organoaluminum compound and a solid catalyst component containing Mg, Ti, a halogen and an electron donor by a process comprising the step (1) of forming 60-94wt.% propylene homopolymer or propylene/ethylene copolymer, the step (2) of forming 3-20wt.% propylene/ ethylene copolymer by reacting propylene with ethylene at a ratio of (90:10) to (70:30), and the step (3) of forming 3-20wt.% propylene/ethylene copolymer by reacting propylene with ethylene at a ratio of (10:90) to (30:70).
