Abstract:
PURPOSE: To largely reduce man-hours and time required for manufacturing by manual work by automatically welding the joining part of an end of a pipe and a joint in a joining state by a joint supplying device and a clamping device.
CONSTITUTION: A pipe 3 is held by a clamping device 4, moved back and forth guided by a transfer line 1 and turned. The end part of the turning pipe 3 is ground by a grinding device approaching the transfer line 1 freely approaching/aparting, the surface of the pipe is removed for welding and the end edge of the pipe is chamfered. A joint is fitted to the end part of the pipe 3 by the joint supplying device 9. The joining part of the joint and the end of the pipe 3 is automatically welded by a welder 10. The pipe 3 is cut into pieces having required length by a cutter 11 to be finished as a piping unit with a joint. Thus, a piping unit having a joint at its end is rapidly and automatically manufactured.
