Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a ceramic composite material in which strength can be prevented from decreasing due to cutting of a ceramic fiber and a ceramic composite material with a smooth surface can be obtained, and the ceramic composite material.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the ceramic composite material includes: an impregnation step for obtaining an impregnated body 3 by impregnating a solution or slurry containing a ceramic precursor 1a in gaps between aggregates 2 that contain ceramic fibers 4; a firing step for obtaining a fired body 8 having the aggregates 2 and ceramic matrices 1b filled in the gaps between the aggregates 2, by curing and firing the impregnated body 3; and a cleaning step for removing a fired product 10 of the ceramic precursor formed on a surface of the fired body 8 by colliding a composite particle that contains an elastic body made of an organic substance and an abrasive made of the same compound as the ceramic fibers 4 against the surface of the fired body 8, in which at the cleaning step, a centrifugal blasting machine is used that injects the composite particle by using a centrifugal force generated due to rotation of a blade.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
