Abstract:
To provide a decorative body suited for outdoor use and a method for manufacturing the decorative body, which allow a decorative part to have a function of sufficiently enduring outside use even when dye ink is used as ink-jet printing ink for forming the decorative part.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a decorative body 1 suited for outdoor use includes the steps of: forming a transparent resin reception layer 12 containing ultraviolet inhibitor on a metal or plastic member 10; making a color material 21 composed of dye ink for forming a prescribed decorative part 2 through ink-jet printing enter into an ink-jet recording medium sheet 20 having water absorbing and dispersing property, and stacking the ink-jet recording medium sheet 20 on the surface of the transparent resin reception layer 12; sublimating the color material 21 from the ink-jet recording medium sheet 20 through heating and pressure, and making the sublimated material enter into the transparent resin reception layer 12 to be fixed therein; and removing the ink-jet recording medium sheet 20 after color material transfer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
