Abstract:
To provide a map creation method for an autonomous traveling body capable of creating an updated map by combining a plurality of maps.
The map creation method comprises the process steps of; displaying the map selected from a map memory means in which the plurality of maps for expressing divided traveling environment are stored, on a screen 112; editing the map so that mutual paths p1 and p2 of the map which is displayed on the screen may be matched; and combining the map by converting coordinate systems of the maps edited by this editing process step, to a single coordinate system.
