To provide a mat for caring which has a simple structure, can be used for a general bed, mattress, Japanese mattress, etc., and has a function for safely raising the back of a laying patient or for changing a side of his/her posture.

The mat consists of an air bag where left-side and right-side back raising parts 9 and 10 constituting a back raising part 6 corresponding to the upper half body of the user and left-side and right-side side support parts 7 and 8 arranged on both of the left and right sides are expanded and contracted independently of each other by gas supply and exhaust. Air is supplied from an air pump unit 3 to inflate the left-side and right-side back raising parts and the left-side and right-side side support parts to perform the back raising operation of the user. In this case, the left-side and right-side side support parts are held by a movable frame 2 lifted corresponding to the expansion of both back raising parts to be always at a position higher than both back raising parts, thereby preventing the user from falling from the left/right sides. By selectively inflating one of the back raising parts, the laying user can be turned to face sideways easily.
