Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a matlike molding, having a high strength, good in compressive repulsiveness and rich in flexibility by joining mat substrate fibers through a fibrous thermosetting phenol resin.
CONSTITUTION: This matlike molding is obtained by joining mat substrate fibers through a fibrous thermosetting phenol resin dispersed in the mat substrate fibers. The thermally and chemically cross-linkable fibrous phenol resin is dispersed in the mat substrate fibers and heated at about 130-250°C temperature to afford the matlike molding in a state hardly causing the environmental pollution in good yield.
