To simultaneously perform two kinds of measurements in one measuring chip in a measuring apparatus capable of selectively using a sample supply flow channel and a measuring chip, and to perform a measurement so as to continuously supply the sample into the measuring chip in addition to a usual measurement performed in a state that the sample is stored in the measuring chip.
The metal film 12 of the measuring chip 9 is divided into two regions 12a and 12b and a sensing substance 30 is fixed to one region 12b. A flow channel unit 50 equipped with a supply passage 52 for supplying the liquid sample and a discharge passage 53 for discharging the liquid sample is provided in the sample holding part 10c of the measuring chip 9 and flow channels are formed on the metal film 12 and the sensing substance 30. At the time of a measurement, the liquid sample 11 is supplied to the metal film 12 by the flow channel unit 50 and laser beams 13 are allowed to parallelly enter the interface 10a of a dielectric block 10 with the region 12a of the metal film 12 and the interface 10b of the dielectric block 10 with the region 12b of the metal film 12 to perform measurement.
