To perform temperature control without causing a temperature irregularity with respect to a temperature control object in a temperature control device for preserving a biological sample.

A housing 10 housing the temperature control object 2 is formed of aluminum having a high heat conductivity and a water channel is formed to the housing 10 and a circulation means for circulating cooling water 11 is provided in the water channel. A fan 22 is arranged in the housing 10 and a motor 21 for rotaining the fan 22 is provided. The temperature of air in the housing 10 housing the temperature control object 2 is controlled by controlling the temperature of the housing 10 itself and the air in housing is circulated by the fan 22 to suppress the temperature irregularity in the housing 10 and the temperature control object 2 is controlled without causing the temperature irregularity.
