Abstract:
To provide a melt type thermal transfer image receiving sheet having excellent heat-insulating and cushioning properties and also a sufficient ink anchoring effect and sufficient ink absorbing properties and being excellent in suitability for thermal transfer such as low-density transferability, the maximum density, graininess, dot reproducibility, the surface strength, gradation properties and high print glossiness.
In the melt type thermal transfer image receiving sheet having an ink receiving layer provided on a base, the ink receiving layer contains organic specifically-shaped grains having the ink anchoring effect, as a filler, and an organic filler of which the oil absorption based on JISK 5101 is 500 mL/100 g or above.
