To provide a mentality determination method for easily, accurately and objectively determining whether a mental stress that is a trauma exists without putting a burden to an examinee.
The mentality determination method measures a concentration or a total amount of chromogranins A in saliva of the examinee or a concentration of protein in the salvia of the examinee. When the concentration of the chromogranins A is equal to or less than 0.5 pmol/mL, or the total amount of the chromogranins A is equal to or less than 0.8 pmol, or when the value obtained by subtracting the concentration of the protein from the concentration of the chromogranins A is equal to or less than 1, the method determines that the examinee has the mental stress that is the trauma.
