To provide a metal composite material which is composed of a new constitution, and in which the generation of cracking and peeling can be suppressed.
The metal composite material comprises: a composite part having a sintered compact 1 obtained by sintering the metal powder of a first metal and a second metal 2' at least impregnated into the pore part of the surface layer part in the sintered compact 1; and a base material part having a second metal 2, wherein, the composite part and the base material part are fitted by recessed parts 3 formed at the composite part side on the grain boundaries thereof and projecting parts formed at the base material side, and the recessed parts 3 are formed by jointly sintering the metal powder and a melt-out material having a melting point lower than the sintering temperature of the metal powder, and melting the melt-out material.
