Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula (R1 is H or methyl R2 is methyl or trimethylsiloxy; at least one of R2 is trimethylsiloxy; n is 1W4).
EXAMPLE: Tris(trimethylsiloxy)(methacryloxyethoxy)silane.
USE: Carrier for slowly releasing formulation and slowly-acting reaction reagent. It has low rate of hydrolysis.
PREPARATION: The objective compound can be produced e.g. by reacting a hydrosilane containing trimethylsiloxy group [e.g. tris(trimethylsiloxy)silane] with a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate in the presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst.
