Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzing method whereby a concentration of iron ions in an acid washing solution in an acid washing process for stainless steel, especially in an acid washing solution of sulfuric acid and a mixed acid washing solution of fluoric acid and nitric acid can be measured in the same method by an automatic compact analyzing apparatus.
SOLUTION: The analyzing method includes an acid washing process by means of a sulfuric acid aqueous solution and a mixed aqueous solution of fluoric acid and nitric acid. An aqueous solution obtained by adding a hydrogen peroxide solution to a sample of the circulating sulfuric acid aqueous solution in the sulfuric acid washing process, and a sample of the mixed aqueous solution circulating in the mixed acid washing process are analyzed in an iron-salicyclic acid complex absorptiometry.
