The apparatus for controlling the attitude of a towing body 1 to be towed by a mother aircraft or ship via a towing cable 2 comprises a tension sensor 11 for sensing the components of the tension applied to the cable 2 in longitudinal and lateral directions, a control calculator 12 for calculating the pitch and roll control amounts of the body 1 based on the components of the tension sensed by the sensor 11 in the longitudinal and lateral directions, and a driver 13 for driving the movable wings 1a of the body 1 based on the calculated result of the calculator 12.
