Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an apparatus, in which the test for a valve head is simplified and in which the fracture characteristic and the fracture source of the valve head can be observed simply by a method, wherein pressure is applied to two load positions formed on the side of a valve seat at the valve head and to one load position formed on the side of the valve head which is separated from the valve seat.
SOLUTION: A pressure stamper 1 and a support base 2 constitute a pressure device. A truncated cone-shaped cutout 4, which houses the side of a valve seat at a valve head and a cylindrical hole 5 which corresponds to a valve stem are formed in the support base 2. In addition, two load rollers 6, 7 are installed at the cutout 4, and a stopper roller 17 is installed at their oppositely faced side. However, a load roller 8 which faces the center between both load rollers 6, 7 at the support base 2 and a stopper roller 16 which faces the stopper roller 17 are installed at the pressure stamper 1. A ceramic gas switching valve is set on the support base 2. When it is pressurized by the pressure stamper 1, since a bending load is applied to the valve head by the load rollers 6 to 8, the side of the valve seat is subjected to tensile load, and a reproducible failure which is close to an actual failure is generated at the defect position of the valve head, so that the valve head can be tested.
