To provide a method and an apparatus for plate-type catalytic reaction expected in improvement of reaction results and extension of catalyst life by efficiently controlling temperature distribution in catalyst layers in a reaction zone in relating to the method and the apparatus for plate-type catalytic reaction.
The method for plate type catalytic reaction uses the apparatus for plate type catalytic reaction in which the reaction zone is formed by filling a pellet-shaped or spherical catalyst in a space between two sheets of heat-transfer plates and the two sheets of heat transfer plates having a heat medium-flow path outside of the heat transfer plates form a pair. In the method, the flow rate of the heat transfer medium is set to have 0.5-10C difference between the temperature of the inlet and that of the outlet. The apparatus for plate type catalytic reaction has a cross-flow in which the flow direction of the heat transfer medium is in a relation to be perpendicular to the flow direction of a reaction gas.
