To provide a method for safely and continuously recovering magnesium, and to provide an apparatus for recovering magnesium that is suitable for the implementation of the method.

The apparatus for recovering magnesium includes: a container that can accommodate granular powder in a vibrating, fluid, or moving manner; a port for supplying the granular powder, which is provided at the upper part of the container; a port for discharging the granular powder, which is provided at the lower part of the container; a port for introducing magnesium vapor into the container; and a device for vibrating, fluidizing, or moving the granular powder accommodated in the container. The apparatus is capable of condensing the introduced magnesium vapor on the granular powder surface.
