To provide a method and apparatus for removing carbon dioxide from digestion gas capable of sharply reducing the consumption of a solvent and capable of efficiently removing carbon dioxide.
The method for removing carbon dioxide contained in the digestion gas in high concentration enables carbon dioxide in the digestion gas to be dissolved in and absorbed by the solvent. After carbon dioxide is removed from the solvent by subjecting the solvent having absorbed carbon dioxide to the vacuum degassing treatment, the solvent is circulated to be reutilized in the absorption of the solvent. The carbon dioxide removing apparatus has an absorption device 1 for dissolving and absorbing carbon dioxide in the digestion gas by the solvent, a vacuum degassing device 5 for removing carbon dioxide from the solvent and a circulating route for circulating the solvent from which carbon dioxide is removed to the absorption device for absorbing carbon dioxide by the solvent. The vacuum degassing device 5 preferably comprises a device which enables the continuous treatment and has a rotator for forming the received solvent into a thin film.
