PURPOSE: To facilitate the storing of a vehicular pneumatic tire in a predetermined part and the measuring of its rotation by providing axially movable rim rings with rim flange segments which open outward.

CONSTITUTION: A rotation checking device 10 is provided with two axially relatively movable rim rings 12, and each of the rim rings 12 is provided with a rim flange segment 13. After the rim rings 12 have been moved away from each other, opposite pieces 14 are moved from the outside toward a tire 11 to fit their respective support surfaces 19 and bead zones 20 together. The beads 18 of the tire 11 are pressed against the beads 21 of the rim rings 12. Then the rim flange segments 13 are provided in such a way that they can be folded back parallel to an axis by a rotary joint 17 and be connected and disconnected by a connecting/disconnecting device 15 and a connecting/ disconnecting lever 16.
