Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large quantity of blowing of hydrocarbon gas through a double-tube tuyere in the bottom-blowing of a converter blowing without developing the detachment of a refractory or the clogging of the tuyere, etc. so as to attain the same or more performance as a triple-tube tyuere.
SOLUTION: At the later stage of blowing, the hydrocarbon gas (CnHm) 4 from the inner tube 2 and heat-insulating gas (Ar, N2, CO, CO2, etc., or mixed gas of the heat-insulating gas and hydrocarbon gas) 5 from the outer tube 3 in the double-tube tuyere, are blown and then, the hydrocarbon gas 4 is stably blown without clogging the tuyere by the adjustment based on either one or both of conditions of the flow rate ratio in the following conditions (1) and (2): (1) the flow ratio of the heat-insulating gas 5 in the outer tube 3 is adjusted for the pressure P and/or the flow rate Q before introducing the hydrocarbon gas in the inner tube 2 into the tuyere; and (2) the flow rate of the heat- insulating gas 5 in the outer tube 3 is set according to the temp. T by observing the temp. T of a thermometer 6 set to the outer part of the outer tube.
