Abstract:
To provide a method and a circuit for braking an electronic commutator motor without requiring extra brake units or excessively high operational parameters.
In a method for braking an electronic commutator motor comprising an inverter 7 under control of a small controller, at least one coil is excited sequentially in both drive operation mode and generator operation mode having conduction times t1-t2 and t3-t4 of zero difference in the phase period T of the inverter 7 thus generating a brake torque being attained by averaging a drive torque or a brake torque assigned to the conduction times t1-t2 and t3-t4 over the phase period T.
