Title:
METHOD OF COATING POLYOLEFIN RESIN MOLDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3292903
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain the sufficient adhesion of a coating film to a polyolefin resin molding without cleaning it with an organohalogen solvent and to facilitate the recovery of a solvent vapor during coating the molding with a primer by using a specified primer of a specified composition in a process for coating the molding successively with a primer and a top-coating material.
CONSTITUTION: A primer comprising a resin component comprising a maleic- acid-modified chlorinated polypropylene having an acid value of 20-60mgKOH/g, a chlorine content of 18-28wt.% and a weight-average molecular weight of 30000-170000 and an urethane-modified polyester, a solvent component for coating based on a water-soluble organic solvent having a water solubility (20°C) of 0.5wt.% or above and a vapor pressure (20°C) of 90mmHg or below and comprising at least 80wt.% ketonic water-soluble organic solvent is used. A polyolefin resin molding is coated with this primer and a top-coating material without cleaning it with an organohalogen solvent.
