Title:
METHOD FOR COLD AGGLOMERATING STARTING MATERIAL FOR IRON MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59126727
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the time required to provide strength enabling transfer and to prevent pollution by utilizing rapid bonding cement in the agglomeration of starting materials for iron manufacture contg. iron components.

CONSTITUTION: Starting materials to be sintered are blended with rapid bonding cement or ordinary cement and a rapid bonding agent, and the blend is kneaded in a drum mixer 1. The kneaded material is charged into a disk pelletizer 2, where it is granulated while feeding water from a nozzle 3. The resulting lump ore 5 is conveyed with a belt conveyor 4 and a pan conveyor 6, and it is aged in a yard. The starting materials for iron manufacture can be hardened rapidly and agglomerated, and unlike a firing and sintering method using coke or the like, harmful gases such as NOx and SOx are not generated.
