Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold rolling method for ring bodies by which internal cracks are not generated and good ring-shaped products having high circularity are obtained.
SOLUTION: In the cold rolling method of the ring bodies in which rolling accompanying extension of the diameter is executed to a ring-shaped base stock 3 by using a forming roll 1 for working the outside surface and mandrel 2 for working the inside surface having working grooves on the respective peripheral surface, clamping the ring-shaped base stock 3 between the working grooves of the mandrel 2 for working the inside surface which is inserted into the base stock and the working grooves of the forming roll 1 for working the outside surface which is situated outward the mandrel so that the working grooves of the forming roll/and the mandrel 2 are opposed to each other and executing the rolling of the ring-shaped base stock 3 due to extension of the diameter by rotationally driving only the forming roll 1 or both of the forming roll 1 and mandrel 2, the rovolving speed of the forming roll 1 and/or the rolling-down speed of the forming roll 1 are changed according to the dimensional change of the ring-shaped base stock 3 in rolling.
