To provide a method with which a fraction can be prepared in which tumor cells are enriched by removing impurity cells such as erythrocytes from a body fluid containing blood cell components promptly and easily through a closed system without requiring any antibody, density gradient separation method, centrifugal operation or erythrocyte hemolytic agent.
A body fluid containing tumor cells is brought into contact with a blood cell separation material, thereby capturing the tumor cells, leucocytes, and blood platelets into the blood cell separation material, and erythrocytes which are impurity cells are not captured but are removed. A separation solution is then used to separate the tumor cells from the blood cell separation material, thereby preparing a cell fraction in which tumor cells are concentrated.
