Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the responsiveness of control system and to prevent the deterioration of responsiveness due to secular change in control of steel strip tension/looper angle in hot rolling process.
CONSTITUTION: The target values αr, βr that are inputted into a steel strip tension control system and a looper angle control system are compensated using a neural network. The time sequential data of target values αr',/βr' and process output vallues α, β are used for learning, α, β from the present time to (n+k) times ago and the target values αr', βr' from (k+1) times ago to (k+m) times ago are taken as input to a neural circuit network and the weight coefficient of a neural circuit is learned so that the output from the circuit becomes the target value from the present time to (k) times ago. The desired responses αr, βr from (k) times to one time after the present time and α, β from the present time to (n) times before the present time and the target values αr', βr' from one time to (m) times before the present time are inputted into the neural circuit having the learned weight coefficient and the control target values αr', βr' from the present time to (k) times after the present time are outputted. In this way, the responsiveness of the system for controlling tension/looper angle of steel strip is improved and the deterioration of the response characteristics can be prevented.
