PURPOSE: To attain an appropriate restoring processing by previously a registering specific operation which can not restart normal operation and additional information or the like necessary for starting the operation in transfer operation to a normal resuming state.

CONSTITUTION: When resume processing is started, the status of a device is checked. The resume processing interrupts the operation in executing and stops power supply to respective parts except a circuit for storing minimum information necessary for restarting the operation. After deciding the validity of the resume processing, a normal general operation available for resuming can execute a resume state transfer processing. In the normal transfer processing to the resuming state, specific operation disabled from being restored to normal operation is previously registered and the transfer processing to the resuming state is inhibited in the specific operation. Thus, the processing disabled from being restored by the normal resume processing can be recognized and appropriate restoring processing can be attained.
