Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent picture by detecting in advance a desirable characteristic of an optical system and an electric circuit system and correcting automatically in terms of real time the deterioration of characteristic due to static transition and secular temperature change from the desirable characteristic to prevent the deterioration of picture quality.

CONSTITUTION: Names of types of an active lens 1, a color separation optical system 2, and image pickup elements 3, 4, 5 including a deflection system, information representing the kind of operating elements such as the electric circuit system, information of image pickup condition (image pickup distance, focus, iris value) of the lens 1, and information from an in-system temperature detecting circuit 20 and a lighting color temperature detecting circuit 21 are detected by an operating element and image pickup state identification circuit 18 at the operation of a camera and the detected result is fed to a correction signal information generating circuit 22. The correction signal information generating circuit 22 generates a correcting signal corresponding to each information on real time from the correction signal information of distortion and registration preset based on the said information, supplies the signal to a deflection circuit 6 to correct the distortion and transition of an image on real time.
